Hey, it’s been a while. Let me share with you an NDS game I’ve recently played-Solatorobo: Red The Hunter. It’s an action role-playing game published by Namco Bandai. When I saw its review on IGN, I just have to get it.

The main character, Red, has an x-shaped scar on his face that I noticed only after a while. No, he’s not a human. This game is made up of characters that are all animal and having only few races, mainly the Dog race and the Cat race. Red belongs to the Dog race. You can tell just by looking at what he’s biting with his teeth- a bone. Oddly, his sister, Chocolat, is from the Cat race.

What is this game all about?

· Staged in a fantasy world

· An Action RPG

· Colourful

· You ride a robot most of the time, and can get off it anytime you want

Yep that's Red on a robot

· Nooo it’s not Metal Gear

Solid facing REX (that huge robot) in Metal Gear Solid game

Kittens For Adoption!

This year, on the day after Harvest Festival (celebrated every May 31st), we found kittens in a box outside of our house. There were four of them: 2 black ones, 1 white and 1 grey. They were so little and kept meowing for their mother and food supply (which is of course, MILK!). Unfortunately, on Harvest Festival, their mother had died. It may had eaten poisonous food, as my family found a dead animal beside the cat.

We thought that kittens like all milk, so we gave them cow's milk in a container. However, they didn't move an inch to make an effort to drink it. Then, I searched for information on how to take care of kittens. I realized that orphaned kittens should be fed on bottles with specially formulated milk for kittens, and that cow's milk is a no-no. This is because cow's milk contains lactose and it can't be digested by felines.

We also asked around if anyone wanted to adopt a kitten, but to no avail. Hence, we started taking care of them by ourselves. We bought KMR (Kitten Milk Replacement) and a bottle at a pet shop. At first, it was quite hard to feed the kittens, even with bottle, as they were quite reluctant. They only drank a little bit. We put the kittens in our house after a few days. We heard stories about kittens not surviving without a mother, and that we should find a foster mother cat for them. However, there were only male cats around our neighbourhood. Last Friday, a kitten had died just before we planned to bring them to a vet. It was very sad, since we have already taken a liking towards them. The dead kitten was buried later.

We went to the vet to give them injections and ask for advices. We found out that their watery eyes and big bellies were due to worms and it was the main reason they drank so much. Whiskers and Royal Canine were not healthy food, and the kittens shouldn't be bathed. I rarely touched the kittens, and the only time I did that is when feeding them. Last Saturday, one of the kittens were sick. I thought it's going to go bye-bye, but the next day, it started jumping for food. Maybe the sickness was due to shots given by the doctor.

Today, they are safe and sound. I hope that they will get bigger and can eat by themselves. I was quite scared at first, taking care of little kittens. However, it's not as hard as we think. If you ever encounters this kind of situation, don't fret. Ask for advices from experienced cat owners and also the vet. Be cautious of their uncommon behaviours. Finally, give them all the love!

Visits to OneBorneo: PC FAIR 2011

After our class in the morning, me and a friend of mine went to 1Borneo. PC Fair is back in 1Borneo on 11-13 March 2011. We had a fair share of deal today. She bought an external hardrive of 500GB about RM185, while I bought a refurbished pendrive of 8GB by Sandisk.I don't think there's much difference in prices compared to no-offer days. Well, at least both of us received a keychain by Western Digital (a free gift after completing a survey by Western Digital's employee). Honestly, this is the first time I heard about that brand.

Aren't they the cutest? We both got the green keychains named Gus. Black is Blake & purple is Brent.

We also watched Hikayat Merong Mahawangsa (The Malay Chronicles: Bloodlines). It's basically a movie about the origins of Langkasuka (Kedah) & the Kedah Sultanates, correct me if I'm wrong. Overall, I've never watched a local-made movie that is as good as this. At least an 8 million Ringgit Malaysia's investment won't go down the drain. Thumbs up KRU for doing a good job!

Today, too, Japan was also struck by a tsunami of 33 meters high, and currently 29 people had died. Condolences to the victims' families. It reminded us including myself that we must always prepare for whatever's going to come, since death can come anytime it wants.

Hari ini merupakan minggu ke-empat pensyarah kami tidak datang ke kelas (Matematik Asas), yang merupakan subjek teras. Jadi, penulis pun mengambil langkah proaktif untuk bertanya di Pejabat Am Sekolah Sains & Teknologi (SST).

Penulis terkejut apabila diberitahu bahawa pensyarah tersebut sedang cuti belajar. Kemudian, penulis dicadangkan untuk berjumpa sendiri dengan Ketua Program Matematik (KPM) untuk mendapatkan penyelesaian.

Apabila penulis menyatakan masalah tersebut kepada beliau, beliau berasa hairan. Hal ini demikian kerana pensyarah tersebut BUKAN mengajar subjek Matematik, sebaliknya subjek Sains Sekitaran. Seorang pensyarah lain (nama dirahsiakan) yang seharusnya mengajar kami.

Mengapa ini terjadi?

Jadual kuliah dalam talian (online) secara tidak sengaja telah mengaturkan pensyarah yang salah untuk mengajar kelas kami.

KPM meminta penulis untuk bertemu dengan pensyarah kami yang sebenar untuk menyelesaikan masalah tersebut. Beliau juga akan bertemu sendiri dengannya. Langkah penulis dicepatkan, dan akhirnya penulis menemui bilik pensyarah tersebut.

Setelah penulis menyatakan masalah tersebut, giliran beliau pula untuk terkejut. Akhirnya, penulis boleh menarik nafas lega apabila pensyarah tersebut akan bertemu dengan kami pada hari Jumaat ini jam 2 petang, sekaligus memulakan kelas Matematik Asas untuk kali pertama.

Walau bagaimanapun, kelas ini bakal diadakan 2 kali seminggu untuk menggantikan kelas-kelas sebelumnya. Kalau tidak, mengulang lagilah jawabnya. Oh yes!

Kementerian Pelajaran Malaysia mempelawa calon-calon lepasan Sijil Peperiksaan Malaysia (SPM) yang berminat dalam profesion perguruan untuk memohon Kursus Perguruan Lepasan SPM (KPLSPM) Ambilan Sesi Julai Tahun 2009.

Pelajar lepasan SPM yang berminat untuk menjadi guru boleh memohon secara atas talian untuk mengikuti KPLSPM. Pemohon yang berjaya melalui syarat-syarat awal kursus akan mengikuti latihan perguruan selama empat tahun. Pada akhir pengajian, pelatih yang berjaya akan dianugerahkan Sarjana Muda Pendidikan dalam bidang yang dipilih. KPLSM menawarkan kursus perguruan bagi semua peringkat sekolah.

Program Latihan

Bahagian Pendidikan Guru mengendalikan beberapa program latihan keguruan praperkhidmatan untuk calon lepas SPM seperti tersebut dibawah :

Program Penghantaran Pelajar Cemerlang ke Universiti Terkemuka Luar Negara.
Program Kembar Bahasa Perancis (PKBP).
Program Kembar Bahasa Jerman (PKBJ).
Program Ijazah Sarjana Muda Perguruan (PISMP).

Pemilihan Calon

Hanya calon-calon yang memperoleh jumlah skor merit terbaik yang melepasi tahap skor minimum yang ditetapkan sahaja yang akan dipanggil temu duga. Calon-calon yang dipanggil temu duga dikehendaki menduduki Ujian Sahsiah Keguruan (INSAK) secara bertulis semasa menghadiri temu duga.
Pemilihan calon untuk tawaran bagi mengikuti kursus keguruan bergantung kepada merit skor akademik, prestasi dalam temu duga dan juga keputusan ujian sahsiah (INSAK).

Skor Merit

Pemilihan calon untuk mengikuti program latihan perguruan adalah berdasarkan kepada merit. Skor merit adalah skor yang diperolehi daripada jumlah skor akademik dan juga skor dalam kegiatan ko kurikulum.
Sebelum ditawarkan untuk mengikuti pengajian perguruan, calon-calon dikehendaki menduduki temu duga dahulu. Calon-calon yang melepasi skor merit minimum yang ditetapkan sahaja akan dipanggil untuk ditemu duga.

Cara Memohon

Permohonan secara atas talian (online) untuk memasuki Kursus Perguruan Lepasan SPM (KPLSPM) Ambilan Julai 2009 hanya boleh dibuat melalui laman web Aplikasi Perguruan Kementerian Pelajaran Malaysia atau terus sahaja ke portal KPLSPM Ambilan Julai 2009.
Permohonan ini hanya boleh dibuat dengan menggunakan nombor pengenalan individu (PIN) yang boleh dibeli di Bank Simpanan Nasional (BSN) di seluruh Malaysia mulai 8 Mac 2009 dengan bayaran sebanyak RM 6.00 Calon atau wakilnya hendaklah membawa bersama kad pengenalan atau salinan kad pengenalan calon untuk membeli nombor pin tersebut.
Calon dibenarkan mengemukakan hanya satu permohonan sahaja.

Tarikh Tutup

Permohonan untuk mengikuti KPLSPM ini akan ditutup pada 22 Mac 2009.

Pendaftaran

Calon yang berjaya yang ditawarkan tempat untuk mengikuti Kursus Persediaan bagi Program Penghantaran Pelajar Cemerlang Ke Luar Negara (PPC) ini akan mendaftar di Kolej/ Institut pada bulan Jun 2009. Tarikh yang sebenar akan dimaklumkan nanti.
Calon-calon program lain yang ditawarkan tempat untuk mengikuti Kursus Persediaan akan mendaftar di Institut Pendidikan Guru Malaysia (IPGM) pada 13 Julai 2009 (Tarikh tertakluk kepada pindaan).
Calon yang telah ditemu duga dan tidak menerima sebarang maklumat dalam tempoh satu bulan selepas tarikh pendaftaran adalah dianggap tidak berjaya. Bahagian ini tidak akan mengeluarkan maklumat secara bersurat kepada calon.

Kepada yang bakal menghadapi SPM tahun ini dan bercadang jadi guru, jangan lupa semak surat khabar dan online mengenai pengumuman pengambilan ini. Temuduga biasanya diadakan pada bulan Mei selepas tarikh tutup permohonan. Selepas memohon, catat tarikh-tarikh penting seperti tarikh temuduga dan pengumuman keputusan. Kalau korang terlupa hadiri temuduga guru, ucapkan selamat tinggal terhadap profesion tersebut.

Biarpun anda tak diterima menjadi guru melalui institut perguruan, anda masih berpeluang menjadi pendidik selepas habis pengajian di mana-mana universiti. Anda boleh menjadi seorang pensyarah, ataupun guru tuisyen. Mungkin juga anda ingin sekali mengajar di sekolah menengah atau rendah, anda boleh mengambil diploma pendidikan sebagai syarat untuk mengajar di peringkat sekolah.

Ini ialah pilihan kedua terbaik selepas Matrikulasi, terutama jika anda sudah tahu pilihan course yang anda minati. Selepas SPM, anda boleh memohon untuk masuk ke universiti awam/IPTA melalui aplikasi dalam talian.

Website tersebut boleh dilawati di sini: upu.mohe.gov.my (Permohonan akan dibuka pada suku keempat tahun permohonan. Sila semak dengan guru kaunseling anda).

Program yang ditawarkan oleh universiti awam bermula dari peringkat DIPLOMA, yang mengambil masa 2 atau 3 tahun untuk dihabiskan (Perhatian: Program diploma hanya bagi lepasan SPM, bukan lepasan Matrikulasi/Asasi/PASUM). Menurut pemahaman saya, yang membezakan diploma dengan matrikulasi ialah masa yang diambil untuk menghabiskannya (Matrikulasi: Setahun, Diploma: 2 tahun ++).

Bukan bumiputera warganegara Malaysia dari sekolah kerajaan atau bantuan kerajaan juga boleh memohon, tapi keutamaan diberikan kepada Bumiputera.

Kalau permohonan tak diterima, macam mana?
Anda boleh buat rayuan di website matrikulasi.

Apa jurusan yang ada di matrikulasi?
Bagi pelajar yang berminat memasuki kolej matrikulasi mereka perlulah mengambil satu daripada pakej matapelajaran dalam peperiksaan SPM iaitu Pakej Matrikulasi Sains atau Pakej Matrikulasi Perakaunan.

Yes I'm back. It's kinda funny to write since it's almost impossible to have a reader read this blog. Whatever. Today's subtopic would be about:

It's weird to pack all my things inside my bag. It felt like putting all my stuff inside my locker on the first day of college life-in reverse. It was hard at first, and I didn't felt like going home. When I thought about returning to my old college, only memories remained. Shoot, I'm being melancholic here I think.

Life after college

Returning home wasn't that hard. I rode a plane with my friend and a roommate. Nah, whatever. I was thinking about working part-time in some local outlet restaurants, but now I have a new job to attend to. Later on eBay. I'm a freeloader now. On 24th April 2010 (Saturday), I will be having a MUnsyi test by Universiti Sains Malaysia. I don't even think I'm qualified to enter it. Whatever, I shouldn't even think about it. There's a saying that said, "Never be ahead of your fate," meaning that you shouldn't predict what will happen in the future and act based on those predictions. You shouldn't live for the past nor the future. Instead, you should live your life in the Now, along with your 2 nieces and a nephew.

University

University?? It's coming. Well, it would be better for me to study in my hometown instead of studying in the Peninsular. I don't give a cent of what others are thinking about my idea. Think about it, it's much cheaper to study here than there. There's also a big shopping mall near it. And it's a 7-minute ride from my home. Seriously, those are the very words promised by any university advertising their place of studies. And those points against my ideas would be about being independent, seeing a new place and environment, good place of studies etc. WhatEVER.

eBay

I'm dropshipping stuff in eBay now. Getting that first dollar is a very dull moment for me during that very first sale. Because I was doing eBay when I was going to have my big examination before the end of my college life.

Miles Edgeworth: A New Obsession

It's back. Ace Attorney Investigation: Miles Edgeworth, as the name suggested, is not another courtroom battle game. It focuses on the main investigation itself, which is lead by our favourite prosecutor-Miles Edgeworth.

It officially goes on sale on 17 February 2010; about one year after the Japanese version was released. last year. I just love this game! This game does not concentrate on the animation, but in the story itself. The dialogues are fun to read, but unnecessary chatters could prove useless sometimes. One of the new features installed is "Logic", in which a set of information needs to be connected in order to solve a case. Overall, it's not much different from the previous game-Ace Attorney: Apollo Justice.

Besides that, you can finally control your character's movement in a third person view. The point-and-click system still applies in this game, however. Personally, when I got hold of this game, I was very excited. But it could be tiring because mostly you could only see streams of dialogues. The final case of Ace Attorney Investigation: Miles Edgeworth takes most time to solve it.

Let's Talk: Matrix!

You know how addicting blogging can be when you start writing? Yeahhh...

I'm going to Labuan this Sunday, by ferry. Seriously, I thought I'd be in the two-year program. Lucky me. Hey, it's just like another school reunion! Hahaha....I don't know what I'm going to write next man... Oh yeah, I went back to my old school to get my certificates signed by the school. Yes, I did greet my teachers, not all of them. I feel like the school is kind of lonely when we weren't there :).

I spend my afternoon writing this stuff. What else should I write next? My enthusiasm? I don't really feel enthusiast. Even though most of my friends will be in Labuan, but it doesn't lift my spirit up without my closed friends. Well, life goes on. There's always a silver lining behind a cloud, is that how the saying goes? I might be discovering new things there: New friends, new hope, new aspirations, new adventures, new stories...It's a mystery!

I can't wait to be there.

I was introduced to dropshipping as an alternative in selling items for eBay. Basically, you act as a middleman between a dropship company and a buyer. For example, you list a PSP in eBay and a buyer buys from you. BUT the one who handles the shipping is the dropship company/DC. Of course, you have to pay a membership fee in order to use their dropship service.

Seriously, you have to search for a reliable DC since most of the DCs listing themselves on the net are SCAMS. I know a website that gives you the lists of reliable DCs-www.worldwidebrands.com. You need to pay a hefty price of $288 or above to use their site though, but you can also pay in instalment of three months.

Ho yeah, I'm officially 18 now. Not that I'm that enthusiast. The fact that some guys from some college trying to force us to enter their college by means of cheating or using scam to be their student is already pain. The fact that I'd embarrass myself by telling others that I was going oversee is too much pain, as it is not coming true looking at the situation now.

Now? I'm sleepy. Seriously. And I'm reading School Rumble. Currently at chapter 90. Nowadays Malay dramas are full of "colourful" words and common stories. Soap operas yaddas yaddas. I think overseas tv series are using more "extreme" command of words, compared to local dramas. Hm....

Back to college story, yeah, I got a phone call from Kolej [fill in the blank], saying that I'm qualified to pursue my studies in UK under MARA/PTPTN sponsorship. Like, both of them? That's not logic, but I didn't realise about it until recently. Yup, I told my family and close friends about studying overseas stuff. So I was like, okay, not bad. Sponsor? I'm in. He said I must go to its briefing and interview tomorrow and bring all necessary documents.

And they gave us a preview of their college-Kolej [fill in the blank] which is located in Negeri Sembilan. What I was going to find out was that it is actually a private college advertising themselves. Ha ha ha, what a joke. But from there, I started to learn that MARA only sponsors private institution, not local ones. This is something I've just realized: Where is Ichigo Kurosaki? Now that explains why the recently published Bleach chapters weren't as interesting as before. Is he dead? Then there's no point of continuing Bleach! We want him back in ONE PIECE! I have to admit, Naruto has better storyline compared to Bleach even though I'm not a fan of it. But, I think I'm gonna like it if given the time now that I know Naruto is broadcast in Cartoon Network.

Oh yeah, I developed a new story again. It is a modified version of my old comic piece called "Ace Karl Wallace", which I now call it as "Journey To The Ace".

Yep, I was thinking about making a new story. Might be a novel or something on print. Roughly, it was about a man who had to teach his son everything about Islam in order to inherit the property from his father according to the condition stated in his father's will. It was a funny story about a father who never practiced the Islamic way of living but had to teach his son about Islam. Of course, it was not intended to be a funny story but a cynical criticism not to Islam, but to those who are a Muslim but not a Mukmin. This story is also a criticism to people like myself >_< . Ouch, that hurts...

Prom Night '08

Form Fives of 2008 are having a prom night in Tanjung Aru Shangri-La Hotel tonight. A few days before the end of SPM, some of the students changed their mind and wanted to go to the prom. Me, on the other hand weren't thinking about it until today. Somehow, I really regret not coming to the prom tonight at 7pm. But, RM50 for a ticket is not plausible. Besides, I have 3 'kids' to take care of (my sis's children).

Whatever. We couldn't move on if we regretted the past, right? Anastasia's on Star Movies now.

Wings of Justice!

Yeaaaah.....All my nieces and nephew are livin' in my house. Nice... Just RIGHT after SPM. Hahahahahahahahahahaha. I make a new story, just like I promised before. It's "Wings of Justice"! Gosh, I wish I have a scanner to show you guys some of my illustrated works. Seriously, I have this kind of ego that my drawing is better than any amateur artists. And I don't feel guilty 'bout this. Forgive me for my ego.

The main character, Rock, used to be a character in my old self-made comic- "Rock n' Pucat" ('pucat' means pale in malay). "Wings of Justice" is about a girl, Zed, whose father was imprisoned because he didn't pay the money he borrowed from a bank, hence she asked Rock to be her father's lawyer to defend him in court.

Honestly, I just made'em up based on a popular Nintendo DS game, "Ace Attorney".

End of SPM, Beginning of An Adult's Life

I'm not sure why I have a serious headache. Is it because of rain or the presence of my niece and nephew at home. Leave it at that, yesterday I had a mixed feeling. I'm not sure what was I feeling yesterday, knowing that we had ended our last year of high school. Today I know it. It's just like the feeling after each ending of a movie I watched. Sad. Goodbye. I'll never see you again. Yup.

I don't have a clue of what I'm suppose to do now, knowing that I don't have to come back to school on January 2009. Great. I will continue this "blues" conversation. My headache is killin' me.

I was obsessed with a webcomic -megatokyo.com that my eyes were glued on the cpu screen. Then I went to search for the authors' faces (now only one author in charge). I was like, "oooh... fat."

BANKAI! Zenbon sakura....(Bleach by Kubo Tite). And all sort of mangas. Seriously, all the authors are ordinary people. Just like us. Not some kind of aliens. We don't really care who they are and what they look like. What matters the most is that they do good comic. That's all.

I know the truth about Fred Gallagher. He sucks. Whatever... As long he does good comic, that's all I really cared about. Really? Now I see him in a different angle, but who cares.

Just Like In The Airport's Lounge

Again, I went to school just to find 31 out 44 students were "holiday-ing" to concentrate on studies. I had to attend school cuz I need to return the text books that were being lent to us under the "text book scheme".
But the atmosphere was almost different than being in an empty, boring class. Imagine sitting in an airport lounge, waiting for your flight. Nobody cares about u, and u don't have to give a damn about others. But since it is a CLASS we're talking about, we can choose to study by ourselves or in the company of your peers. It's very..what do we call it? CONDUCIVE type of environment.
I can concentrate waaayyy better than having a class full of noisy beings who ain't giving us any comfort. Too much noise pollution I'd say.
I have soooo many ideas that I want to convey all of them into a novel or a composition. Or even into drawings. Yes, I think I may give a shot in building comic-based website, or web comic. Actually, it has been my life's dream to publish my own artwork in the web. Unfortunately, I don't own a scanner FYI. The idea popped into my head when I saw megatokyo.com when I was in Primary Four or Five.
From there, it stirred me to do the same. Because of that, I was heavily influenced by manga style artwork. Seriously, I did a comic similar to megatokyo's called "Merrel Island". I changed here and there, but it was obviously a copy of megatokyo's. Before, I did a story based on Pokemon and a PC game called "Oni", by Bungie and Godgames which I gave it the name of "Ace Karl Wallace". Funny... I couldn't even give an ending to each of my comic. Just leave them be. Hahaha!!!

Golden Week

I specifically use 'golden week' as my title, but it is not related to the Japanese 'Golden Week'. Sorry to disappoint ya, cuz what I'm gonna talk about is something else.

THIS week has been wonderful. My last year as a high school student and the last trial exam has been favouring me. Well, not that it is CONFIRMED that I'll get a decent result. But, to pass (passing mark: >45) my addmaths test just before SPM has given me hope for something better. My teacher thought that this was my first time passing his subject (or so I thought), he was like kinda relief and happy. It is supposed to be vice versa, shouldn't it? The first time was the july test. Haha, to pass the test was like jumping over fiery hills. Nah, too much thinking.

I passed my Chemistry and physics tests too =D. It was like my prayer had been answered, but I'm also afraid that this result will reflect the true result of my
SPM test :O. I'm waiting for my biology result now *Dub dub*

Yeah....! I had done my upgrading test last friday from green to blue. Now I realise that Johnny-sensei, who would be grading karate examinees, was very tall (7 feet?). That day he reminisce about his younger days and how he had been joining karate do championships and won many of them. I thought I was too late to join karate, but truthfully sensei joined it much later, at 17 (if my memory serves me right). Hahahahahahaha......

Next week would be a mini trial exam, where all science subjects are not tested. Nice, I just got my parcel from Maktab Adabi yesterday (Wednesday). Hope I'll be more motivated. "What If" - Interview in School Magazine

Just say, what if I was, in a rare event, chosen to be interviewed in the school mag? Well...What should I say? Seriously, I'm very, VERY obsessed with this "what if" stuff. Hmm.

I would say how I become like that, and anything related to my success. I would also express my thanks to teachers who had thought my full-heartedly, and so on. Maybe I would give some advises to teachers to be more understanding about their students, give full attention to those who are weak in studies and give support to them.

To students, I would advise them not to give up on their studies. I mean, your parents gave you the opportunity to learn and sent you to school. But, if you are not really interested in academic stuff, why don't you be more actively involved in school curricular activities. For example, if you like arts, why not joining art competitions or an art club. Or, if you are more to sports, join the fun. If you are not good in one thing, you might be good at other things. The thing is, never give up on things that you really like.

In conclusion, success comes a long way. You could make it shorter by doing your part. I'll end my speech with my favourite phrases: "Someone who never fails, never made a discovery".

Woowwwwww... i thought there's another phoenix wright game on the table. but, it's unlikely 'cuz in the new series of what i thought to be Phoenix Wright next installment, Capcom introduces a new line of characters, as well as the old ones. From what I've been gathering, phoenix wright will be present in the game, but he's...not a lawyer anymore?? and the new prime character will be...Apollo Justice??? who the heck is this guy? more and more questions popped in my head.

yeah, i thought that when someone said in the comment in one of phoenix wright fan videos in youtube, they were saying about phoenix wright's past in the third installment (Phoenix Wright: Trials and Tribulations) and i mistook apollo justice for phoenix wright in the past. dang, what a spoiler. Ace Attorney: Apollo Justice will be out for US audiences around february 2008. can't wait. but the idea of Phoenix Wright being a "cool" character didn't cross my mind at all. Oh yeah, I didn't see Maya Fey featured in the latest game either. Probably she has inherited the "Master of Kurain Channeling Technique" title and went back to her hometown. Hmm... why didn't Phoenix Wright continuing his former job as a lawyer? Is it because he screwed up his last case? Well, for the time being, I'll continue playing trials and tribulations until its release.

After GBA, Let's NDS

yeah, I got to play some NDS games with a proper emulator. i currently use iDeas emulator. When I tried to use DeSmuME some time ago, around june this year if i'm not mistaken, I can't see the game image. so i thought that it's bcuz of my cpu requirement's not enough to support the game it seems. but recently i just played Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney. Good game, about you being a lawyer and u must find evidences, contradictions etc. to defend ur client. it's like playin' a mini screen pc game, yeah. still I can enjoy the game until it got stuck at chapter 4. i can't proceed the game, whether it's because of the emulator or the game. well i don't think it's the game at fault, but we also can't put the blame on the emulator since it's at development stage. and i tried to download the SAME game but with different...provider.

enough with this nds stuff, i am again listening to J-Wave, a japanese internet radio. something about Music Hyper Market slot. Some DJs with their own language and some japanese songs. well i kinda enjoy it. updated weekly. urm, the website is

Doh, it was 1:01 am here in Malaysia. Still awake, listening to this japanese online radio streaming. Well, I was trying to search for some language sites which will teach me japanese. Many people were into it nowadays, thanks to Osamu Tezuka for creating such styles (big eyes, those stuff we always see in manga & anime). And I'm also currently downloading genki txtbook sort of stuff. still haven't finish downloading it yet.
in the first place, why am I writing this post? oh yea, now I remember. I was about to write about this amazing anime-5 Centimeters per Second, directed by Makoto Shinkai (Voice of a Distant Star, She and Her Cat debut), but I'm way TOO sleepy to remember that. For Americans, it's still 9 in the morning. I wonder if I have the energy to write a review about it. A chain of Short Stories, as the name stated (another name for 5cm/s) , is a compilation of a short stories. Not really a compilation-sorta like, it is, but it's the same stories though. It talks about "distance" between characters, that includes physical distance, feelings and time. Well, to have a really good review about this movie, you should google it in the web. I'm sure there are many sites mention about it, and many who had watched it admitted that they'd cried while watching it. It's a love story, okay? But it's not the ordinary love story we're talking about.
Still not satisfied? It's better if you go see it yourself, I guarantee you won't be disappointed. There is a forum about 5 Centimeter per Second, which also includes download links for the anime. When I was little, I was surrounded by siblings who are 4 years older and more. Back then, they liked to play jokes on little ones, like me. It was like a tradition. Maybe because of that, I think like an older person, beyond my age (or so it seems). When I was 7, I did jokes that kids around my age do not get and vice versa. It was hard, though. Maybe that was the reason I didn’t have many friends during primary years. Whether it was a gift or curse, I have the ability to guess what other people were thinking. It was fun. Well, I wasn’t a sensitive person as I didn’t have friends who are loyal so I was like giving a pat on my back by not generating a negative thought about others. But, in the other side of my mind, I was cursing everyone.

As I enter secondary school, my life has changed. I have loyal, trusted peers, dedicated teachers and good grades. Good life, yeah.

No, I’m not boasting about what I said earlier. Really, I mean that. Are you saying that you ain’t believed in me? Are you? Are you? Ok, ok, just a little. You’re right, I’m wrong. Are you happy now? Tips No.1: Revise on the topics highlighted today.

Tips No.2: Have a good sleep. It’ll help you to memorize facts better.

Tips No.3: Buy good practical books that provide previous major exam papers.

Tips No.4: It’s good to keep previous school exam papers too. Sometimes they’ll

repeat the same questions without realizing it.

Tips No.5: During exam, read a simpler note and never study at the last minute.

It will make you nervous if you find topics that you didn’t study before.

SPECIAL: My Experience during PMR

About two months before the major exam, finally I was into studying. Who knows a student like me who failed her math a year ago will score now? But we were fortunate to have Mr. Tan teaching us. He’s good, considering and caring. Back to me…In March, I subscribe ADABI tuition and they’re good. Their notes are better than reference books available. To be honest, I never take any tuition before.

…2 months before the major exam (sorry for the repeated sentence), I was (and finally) serious in studying. Before, I had sent ADABI my answers and they arrived quite late about 1 month. For the first time, my Kemahiran Hidup got a C. The subject that I usually got a C was my math and yet I score an A in the last PMR Trial, set by the school.

I was thankful for my friend who sat beside me. She was a determine person and consistent. Her overall grades were quite good, especially in math. She was the force that drives me to concentrate on study. She was the kind of girl who usually finished her homework in school and very discipline person. Well of course because she was also a prefect since Form 1. Before I get to know her better, I thought she was snobbish as they said during primary years. In fact, she was very, very friendly and helpful. Yeah, I still remember when a guy asked why she wasn’t there for marching practice on that day.

That’s it for now. Maybe there will be Part Two for this one, as they said: There are no spices in life if there are no suspense (in a story). Well I made that up. So long, underlings!

Kelas A Vs. Kelas F

Banyak sekolah yang mengagihkan kelas menurut keputusan yang dicapai oleh murid. Hasil daripadanya, berlakulah pergaulan sempit di antara murid yang mencapai keputusan cemerlang dan seterusnya.

Persoalannya, adakah ini satu langkah yang baik untuk meningkatkan prestasi murid? Ya, mungkin benar. Sekolah melakukan sedemikian untuk mengenal pasti murid yang kurang cemerlang dan lebih menumpukan perhatian terhadap mereka. Misalnya, memberi kelas tambahan kepada mereka, guru yang mengajar semestinya adalah guru yang terbaik dan sebagainya. Namun sebaliknya berlaku. Sebaliknya, kelas yang terbaik pula diberi “perkhidmatan” yang terbaik.

Perbuatan ini ada baik dan buruknya. Pelajar hanya bergaul dengan rakan yang hampir sama grednya (keputusan peperiksaan). Ada yang tidak bersetuju dengan idea ini, tapi sememangnya kita lebih rapat bergaul dengan rakan sekelas. Jika kita diletakkan dalam kelas “terbaik”, ada suasana persaingan yang tinggi (atau tidak…). Namun, jika sebaliknya? Misalannya, katakanlah kita ialah murid yang tidak begitu baik grednya. Kita cuba untuk berubah dan ingin ada pendorong yang menaikkan semangat. Masalahnya, kita dikelilingi oleh sekumpulan murid yang tidak berniat sedemikian.

Untuk itu, kita mesti melakukan langkah pertama: Bergaul dengan rakan yang lebih pandai (maksudnya: LEBIH PANDAI). Caranya, kita perlu ke kelas “teratas”. Akhirnya kita menjumpai seseorang yang sanggup membantu kita yang berasal dari kelas “terbawah”. Satu pergaulan yang baik, SANGAT BAIK. Dan dia berjaya membantu kita menaikkan gred kita. Pada akhir tahun, kita mendapat keputusan cemerlang. Kita berasa gembira dan sedih. GEMBIRA: Kita akhirnya mendapatkan suasana persaingan yang sihat (atau tidak) dan guru yang dedikasi. SEDIH: Terpaksa meninggalkan rakan-rakan yang lain. Kita akhirnya terfikir: KENAPA KITA MESTI DIASINGKAN DARI KELAS YANG ASAL HANYA KERANA KITA LEBIH BIJAK DARI ORANG LAIN?

Perkara ini berterusan sehingga bertahun-tahun lamanya. Adakah ini cara memotivasikan murid untuk belajar? Tanggungjawab mengajar hanya diberikan kepada guru, sedangkan ada banyak saluran yang boleh diambil untuk meningkatkan prestasi murid. Saya amat, amat tidak menggalakkan pengambilan tuisyen oleh sebilangan pelajar. Kenapa mengambil tuisyen? Sedangkan kita boleh menumpukan perhatian terhadap pengajaran guru. Jika tidak faham, tanya sajalah. Kalau malu, tanyalah rakan…eh? Tunggu sebentar! Kita berada dalam kelas ter“bawah” dalam sejarah, mana ada murid yang faham apa yang diajarkan oleh guru! Tidak!!!!!

Hahaha… Untuk meningkatkan prestasi murid, pertama sekali kita tidak harus menggunakan cara pengasingan mengikut gred. Apatah lagi mengikut warna kulit, bangsa, status dan agama kerana kita sedia maklum bahawa dengan cara ini perpaduan tidak akan wujud. Kita tidak dapat memahami budaya dan cara pemikiran masing-masing. Adakah ini yang kita mahukan?

Sekurang-kurangnya, kita boleh cuba memahami pelajar yang kurang cemerlang melalui pergaulan. Dengan itu, kita sebagai rakan sekelas boleh membantunya. Bagaimana dengan mengadakan kumpulan belajar? Dalam kumpulan tersebut meliputi pelajar yang baik (dari segi pelajaran, bukan perangai!), sederhana dan kurang baik. Dengan cara itu, semua ahli kumpulan mempunyai tanggungjawab masing-masing dan pelajar yang sederhana juga berasa berguna kerana walaupun tidak sepandai yang lain, dia masih boleh mengajar orang lain. Perasaaan “berguna” dan “dihargai” itulah yang amat dipinta oleh pelajar, bukannya perasaan “terasing”, “tidak berguna”, dan “apa-apapun tak tau”.

Tambahan pula, guru-guru yang ditugaskan menjaga kelas terbaik berasa terbeban apabila bahu mereka diletakkan satu tanggungjawab yang besar kerana kelas itulah menjadi harapan sekolah. Manakala, guru-guru yang diamanahkan menjaga kelas yang kurang cemerlang berasa senang kerana tidak membebankan. Alahai...

Jika kaedah pengasingan ini dihapuskan, setiap kelas (sekurang-kurangnya) pasti mempunyai murid kebanggaan mereka. Malah, persaingan di antara kelas pasti meningkat. Untuk menjadi kelas terbaik, masing-masing berusaha untuk meningkatkan prestasi. Guru-guru akan bekerjasama dengan pelajar kelasnya untuk menjadi yang terbaik. Hasilnya, semua orang mendapat manfaat. Peratus murid yang lulus dalam peperiksaan semakin meningkat dan nama sekolah juga menjadi harum.

Kenapa tidak kita berbuat demikian? Saya jamin, jurang di antara murid cemerlang dan kurang cemerlang pasti akan terhapus. Kelas pandai tidak lagi disebut kelas pandai, dan kelas bodoh (ada guru yang meletakkan label yang lebih teruk daripada ini) tidak lagi disebut kelas bodoh. Semua kelas adalah sama rata, meliputi pelbagai kaum, agama, status, warna kulit dan gred keputusan. Selangkah demi selangkah, semua orang pasti mengecapi kejayaan yang serupa. Persahabatan di antara murid terjalin dengan amat rapat dan saling memahami. Tidak ragu lagi. Kita semua SERUPA.
